Carrollwood Day School is a non-sectarian, co-educational, independent day school for students from two-years-old through high school. The curriculum for Carrollwood Day School follows the guidelines established by the prestigious International Baccalaureate Organization. CDS is the sixth school in the U.S. authorized to offer all three levels of the IB Programme.
CDS is still growing in the area of Athletics. Their football team won state championship for independent schools' 6-man league in 2007.
Since CDS just added their high school in 2007[1] they are still growing in traditions as well, but traditions they have had since the Michigan Avenue days are an annual Dads' Day, an annual Grandparents' Day, eating lunch outside, and recess every day in the elementary and middle school.
